When Fev played footy, he did it his own way.
Not just on field but off field too - and that’s why the masses loved him. At the time when footy was drifting away from ‘footballers’ and going for ‘athletes’ (Yes. You read that correctly…) Fev made it impossible to kill of the footballer.
Fev saved footy.
An icon comparable to no athlete. He was a rockstar in navy polyester who’s strut from the square rivalled the trademark Mick Jagger walk.
THIS is why he was born in the right era. Fev was sent to SHOW US the way to do it. To show us that sometimes the old way is the gold way.
Saving footy from a dour, robotic, dystopian future was a job for no regular man. It had to be Fev. When there was only darkness - he dragged us into the light with a stubby in hand. THIS is why Fev was born in the right era.
